Leading the Charge Towards Net-Zero

The CDI serves as an idea generator and leadership hub, bringing together prominent players from industry, business, and science. The partnership provides a platform for cooperation, innovation, and sustainable development. It enables access to a broad network of experts, research institutions, and other industry stakeholders to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative solutions. Additionally, it opens up opportunities to participate in joint research and development projects focused on decarbonizing the industry.

ZeCarb's role in CDI

Messer actively contributes to the CDI with its experienced ZeCarb solution. ZeCarb, a service brand for "Carbon Capture as a Service" (CCaaS), is instrumental in capturing CO2 emissions directly at the source for various industries such as steel, cement, glass, paper, chemical production, and fossil-fired power plants. With decades of expertise in CO2 recovery, Messer has installed over 90 systems worldwide, making their solutions some of the most proven and scalable systems for carbon capture. "As a partner in the network with other well-known players in German industry, we hope to create synergies in order to accelerate solutions and innovations," said Dr. Tarek ElHawary, CTO of Messer. "Our expertise in hydrogen and carbon capture solutions positions us well to contribute significantly to the CDI's mission of achieving a climate-neutral industry."

By leveraging its global presence in Asia, Europe, and America, Messer covers all areas of the Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS) value chain from a single source, helping industries achieve their "net zero" climate targets.
