Our capturing technologies are used at the point source of emission. This is critical to prevent CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere. Power stations, industrial plants or other large CO2 emitters benefit from this service. The key to capturing CO2 efficiently is our specially formulated solvent that extracts CO2 from multiple flue gases.
The captured CO2 is then scrubbed to remove contaminations. Our purification quality meets ISBT standards (suitable for food & beverage industry). In the next step the CO2 is cooled, pressurised and liquefied. This makes it easier to transport and store.
The liquefied CO2 is then transported via trucks, pipelines or ships for further utilization or to permanent storage sites.
Innovative utilisation cases are emerging that can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate CO2 emissions. Captured CO2 is currently being utilized in various applications, including alternative fuel production, enhancement of building materials, chemical and plastics processes, and more.
In the future, most of the recovered CO2 will be stored permanently into depleted offshore oil and gas fields or specific geological formations, where it will react with minerals to form stable carbonates, effectively locking it away underground – a process known as "mineralisation".
